Benefits Of Buying In The Fall
If you have been thinking of purchasing a home and wondering if now is the right time for you then consider these benefits of buying a home in the Fall.
1. Less Competition. The competition for houses drops in the Fall. A lot of people consider Fall to be an off season for Real Estate, but that is not necessarily the case. There are still homes for sale and in a lot of places still just as many as there were in the Spring/Summer. There are even homes that may not have sold in the Spring/Summer time and are now at it again. This makes a great opportunity for you as a buyer to bring your mad negotiating skills.
2. Sellers Are Serious. Not all the homes in the Fall market are leftovers from Spring/Summer. A lot of them are now on the market because of timing on the seller's part. Maybe they were having a home built and it is now completed. Maybe they are moving for a job. Once again if the seller is more serious you as a buyer have the advantage. So make a good offer and even be willing to move in before the Holidays to secure you get the home of your dreams.
3. Take Advantage of Tax Breaks. Property tax and mortgage interest are both deductions you can take for your whole year's worth of income even if you don't close on a new home until December. Any payments that are made prior to the closing of the loan are tax-deductible. This can make a HUGE difference in the amount you owe the government at the end of the year.
4. You Are The Center Of Attention. Because Spring/Summer tend to be the busier Real Estate seasons that means your Realtor is also more busy. If you wait and buy in the Fall you will get more undivided attention from your Realtor, mortgage company and title company. And who doesn't want more attention given to them when making one of the biggest purchases you will ever make?
So don't wait until Spring to purchase your first or next home. Get out there and enjoy this Fall Real Estate season!
