Christmas in Boise IdahoTwinkly Lights

As the days grow shorter and the world is a little darker, the Christmas season has found a magical way to add a little light back into our evenings. What a childlike wonder and joy it brings to see Christmas lights twinkling in the dark night. Driving around town and seeing the lights has become a cherished tradition to our family.

It started just a few years ago when randomly choose a night to go drive around. We got told the kids we were going for a sweet treat and a surprise. They were so excited as they got in the truck and figured out our plan. They immediately wanted to spread the joy and asked if Nana was coming. We thought, hey, how fun would it be to surprise her by stopping by and whisking her away to see the lights?! So we stopped by the local DQ to get some Blizzards, then went to surprise Nana. Of course, she was shocked, but happy to join the adventure!

We knew we were going to be going to be finding some magic on Warm Springs Avenue, and Harrison Boulevard (of course!), but where else should we go to see some of these wonders? There are so many amazing light shows and neighborhoods around town to check out, but we didn't know about all of them. Had we had this handy map, we would have been set! Thanks to some amazing people, now you can easily find the best Christmas lights in Boise!

Do you want to go as a big group and not caravan through town? A great option is to get a group of friends and family together and rent a Party Bus ! What a memorable way to celebrate and create memories with the people who mean the most to you!

And you cannot talk about Christmas lights in Boise without talking about Winter Garden Aglow, hosted by the Idaho Botanical Gardens. This is a must see, fun event that runs from Nov. 24th - January 1st, 2017. Enjoy a stroll through the garden at night, all lit up with twinkly lights. There are cookies and cocoa or cider, music, warming fire pits, and magic around every corner!

Do you take some time to drive around and see the sights of the season? If you have a great addition to share, please comment below. And as you are driving around and find a new part of town you are interested in, know that your local Realtor would be happy to help you find more information about it!

Merry Christmas to you all!
