Top 10 Things To Do In Boise

Boise is so great for so many reasons! The people, the food, the activities for all ages, etc. I'm going to try to narrow it down to my Top 10.  All of these things are great to check out if you are here for visiting for a weekend or if you already live here.  

1. Guru Donuts. Seriously....so....good!!!!!! I'm not even a donut lover and I freaking can't get enough of these. They make all their donuts fresh daily and use local ingredients. They even have vegan donuts. They definitely give Voodoo Donuts a run for their $$$. To check out their menu visit... http://www.gurudonuts.com. You will NOT be disappointed!

2. Take a walk in the foothills. It literally only takes minutes to get to the foothills and their are several great running, biking, hiking trails. My two personal favorites are Table Rock and Camel's Back. The trails are great for any skill level and are open almost year round. 3. Float the Boise River. This is a great activity for any age group! The river is open to float June-Sept. You can rent equipment or use your own. It takes about 2 hours to float and is such a fun thing to do on a hot summer day! To check out more info visit...http://boiseriverraftandtube.com

4. Walk/Bike the Greenbelt. There are 25 miles of tree-lined paths the follow the river through the heart of the city. Be prepared to see lots of parks and wildlife along the way! 

5. Visit the MK Nature Center. The Idaho fish and game offers this unique wildlife experience. The Nature Center sits on 4.6 acres along the Boise River Greenbelt. It gives a glimpse into Idaho's many landscapes and wildlife. The Nature Center is Free to get into, but they gladly accept donations.

6. Visit the State Capitol Building. It is open to the public during normal business hours and is a great way to learn about our State.

7. Goody's Soda Fountain. Located in Historic Hyde Park Goody's offer that old school Soda Fountain feel. Try out their delicious candy, chocolates, icecream and more. To see their menu visit...http://goodyssodafountain.com.

8. Canoe at Quinn's Pond. Quinn's Pond is open from sunrise to sunset. If canoeing isn't your thing feel free to paddle board, swim, or fish.

9. Ski at Bogus Basin. This year especially has been great for skiers and snowboarders. Visit http://bogusbasin.org for pricing info.

10. Relax at Big City Coffee. They are located between 15th and 16th in the Linen District. Even if you aren't a coffee drinker it is such a fun place to have breakfast or just sit and visit. Their quiche is especially delicious! You can check them out here...http://bigcityboise.com
