Spring, Is That You?

As we eagerly anticipate the arrival of spring in a few short weeks, signs of the season are beginning to emerge, even amid recent snowfall in the Boise mountains. Along Mores Creek, which gracefully winds alongside Highway 21 in East Boise County, the geese are forming pairs, ready to nest and lay their eggs. Waterfalls cascade down the cliffsides as the snow melts, and soon the rock chucks will stir from their winter slumber. The creek is swelling with the influx of melted snow, and migratory birds are returning to the area. Longer days and warmer temperatures are on the horizon, marking the enchanting awakening that defines the most magical time of the year in Idaho!

Idaho offers a myriad of delightful ways to embrace spring. For avid skiers, recent snowstorms have blanketed local resorts with fresh powder, providing ideal conditions for hitting the slopes. Anglers can rejoice as spring brings prime fishing opportunities – explore one of the local lakes or rivers for some hungry Idaho trout. The enchanting Idaho wine country beckons, promising a delightful springtime escape. In fact, I have plans to visit next weekend myself!

Venturing into the desert during the spring unveils a perfect landscape for hiking or riding UTVs, without the sweltering heat. If you're fortunate, you might witness the blooming of beautiful wildflowers, adding a touch of color to the arid landscape.

Boise, too, transforms into a captivating destination in the spring. Take a leisurely stroll along the greenbelt, savor a delightful meal at one of its exceptional restaurants, and explore the charming shops downtown.

There's an abundance of activities to enjoy throughout Idaho in the spring, and the best part is – this splendid season lasts for three glorious months! ENJOY!
